Below are some of the frequently asked questions

What skin conditions can I use your products with?

SkinSure Plus is a very effective antibacterial protective moisturiser. It is also recommended for people who may be prone to eczema, dermatitis and acne.

Does the product contain steroids, lanolin, alcohol, colours or fragrances?

No. The only colours and fragrances present are those found naturally in the constituent ingredients. SkinSure products have been designed with the needs of allergy-sufferers firmly in mind, and while we cannot guarantee that you won't be sensitive to any of the ingredients, we have never known this to happen (and have many allergy-sufferers among our repeat customers). The product contains a moisturiser as well as Aloe Vera and Jojoba Oil which have all been reported as being kind to skin.

How often should I apply SkinSure?

We suggest applying SkinSure once every three to four hours.

Do I need to re-apply SkinSure after washing my hands?

No. Providing it has been 3 to 4 minutes since you applied SkinSure, it cannot be washed off with water.

How much should I apply at one time?

You should use about a 5p piece-sized amount to cover your hands. Once the hands have been thoroughly covered and the cream has become absorbed, we suggest applying an amount that thinly covers the surface of any other areas you wish to treat. You will soon get used to applying the right amount: remember that with Skinsure products, you only require enough to leave a very thin layer.

On what parts of the body can I use the cream?

The products can be used on any external part of the body. It must be kept away from the eyes.

Will SkinSure protect me from harsh liquids, granular substances and powders?

SkinSure dries to leave a fine barrier which helps protect the skin from repeated use of most harsh liquids, such as water, soap, shampoo, inks, paints, tar, adhesives, oils and greases and granular substances such as sugars, spices and flours. SkinSure should be used in addition to existing precautions and should not be solely relied upon to protect the skin from very harsh liquids, such as industrial acids and oven cleaners, or any product where the manufacturer advises the use of protective clothing.

Does it kill germs or bacteria?

One of the main active ingredients of SkinSure range is triclosan, which has been proven over the last 30 years to effectively kill a broad spectrum of germs. Triclosan acts to inhibit the growth of bacteria targeting proteins unique to all bacteria. SkinSure Plus and Ultra have the high antimicrobial standards required to prepare the hands for surgical operations. Common disease-causing bacteria such as Staphyloccocus aureus (including the resistant strains MSSA, MRSA) EColi (including the strain E0157), Salmonella, and many more are effectively killed by SkinSure Plus, SkinSure Protech hands, and SkinSure Ultra.
They are also effective against enveloped viruses such as Influenza A (H1N1), Herpes, HIV, SARS, Measles and Mumps.

Can SkinSure help me clear myself of Staphylococcus aureus if my doctors say I'm a carrier?

Yes. SkinSure Ultra may be useful in clearing MRSA and MSSA carrier status, which can be particularly troublesome for people who have been in hospital. Hospital healthcare workers, care home residents and staff and recent hospital in-patients can be particularly badly affected. Treat the hands first, then apply to the ears, nostrils, armpits, groin, bottom, belly button, between the toes and to any open wound, twice daily for 3 days.
