meet Brian Bennett

Brian Bennett is the inventor of the SkinSure range of creams and Technical Director at SkinSure International Limited, a company formed to acquire the formulations and patents, operates from Park Royal, North West London.

In 2003 Brian first started selling a formulation he had invented for people with dry skin problems such as eczema and dermatitis. Heather, his wife had been very badly troubled with contact dermatitis and was struggling to continue working in the early 1990's because her hands were so sore and cracked. He put together a skin cream for her and after 4 days the cuts on her fingers started to close. Within 14 days her hands had completely healed. It was Heather who encouraged Brian to produce and market his formulation so that others could benefit.

Brian says:

The cream I made for Heather's hands is now sold as SkinSure Plus. It is an intensively moisturising antimicrobial skin protector, and over the last six years over a million customers in the UK have tried it. It gives me a real thrill to hear from so many people who have taken the time to contact us to express their gratitude and give testimony to the difference SkinSure Plus has made to their quality of life. It is now sold all over the world.

I developed a second product, SkinSure Ultra for situations where skin infection is the main problem. So many people who have exhausted conventional treatment for infections such as MRSA, have found Ultra to be effective. MRSA carriers have also found that they can clear their skin from colonisation by applying SkinSure Ultra with a little care, as I advise.

Once dried on the skin, these two SkinSure products have an impressively prolonged, broad spectrum anti-microbial effect, lasting for up to three hours even on working hands. By comparison, the antimicrobial power of alcohol gels which are used widely in healthcare settings to control cross infection is extremely short lived, hence the need for very frequent re-application. They dry the skin, leading to fissuring and irritation. By contrast, Skinsure Plus and Ultra are deeply moisturising, waterproof once dry and don't contain any alcohol. They are hypoallergenic fragrance, steroid and lanolin-free.

The anti-bacterial profile of Skinsure Plus and Ultra is of the same or greater standard as that recognised for products used to prepare surgeons and nurses hands for operations. Skinsure Plus and Ultra comprehensively protect skin against bacteria, with MRSA, E Coli and VRE, and Salmonella proving particularly sensitive. The products are also very effective against viruses such as influenza A, HIV-1, Rhinovirus and Herpes simplex types one and two. The recent swine-flu virus would therefore be very sensitive to Skinsure Plus and Ultra, on contact.

We also produce a cream called SkinSure Daily which has been specifically developed for its deep moisturising properties and barrier protection, and many people use it as part of their daily skin routine. It is so mild that it can be used by all members of the family and is a great after-sun lotion as well.

Some of you will have seen me in newspapers and on TV in recent years, and I have spoken on the telephone and met in person many who have benefited from my SkinSure products during promotions around the country. Expansion of the SkinSure team to include healthcare professionals has been a really exciting development recently and in years to come I look forward to hearing from more people who have used the formulations I put together more than 10 years ago. We at SkinSure International are busy developing other ‘skin-friendly’, highly effective products which we hope to launch in the near future. Please direct enquiries about any of our products to our trained advisers at SkinSure International. You can be assured of a confidential, personalised response.
